Queensland climate change brochures

Scientell produced a series of brochures presenting climate change projections and the likely impacts in Queensland and in 13 of the state’s regions.

Client: Client Department of Energy and Climate, Queensland Government

Audience: Local government, state government, regional industry, members of the public

The Department produced technical climate projection data products and materials, which Scientell then supported by producing plain language summaries for effective community engagement.

The series of 6-page brochures describe the projected climate for each region. Climate projections include temperature, rainfall and extreme weather such as hot days and fire weather. There are detailed sector-by-sector assessments of likely climate change hazards and the associated potential impacts.

The brochures provide a sense of hope to readers by offering sector-specific adaptation options to encourage people to take action.
