Scientell facilitated a 2-day workshop on regional climate projections for an Asian Development Bank project managed by CSIRO in May 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Client: CSIRO
Audience: 65 participants from nine countries, representing government departments, research organisations, and agriculture, water, infrastructure, and risk disaster management sectors.
CSIRO and the Asian Development Bank engaged Scientell to facilitate the high-profile international workshop. This involved working with the CSIRO and ADB teams to discuss the overall workshop activities and develop a detailed plan for the discussion sessions, and contribute to a post-workshop report on its achievements. During the workshop, Simon Torok introduced keynote speakers, maintained a strict schedule, encouraged and helped all participants contribute, guided break-out sessions, and ensured workshop aims were achieved.
Prior to the workshop, Scientell worked with Bloom Communication and the project team to conduct a survey of all participants to help ensure that the workshop met expectations and was of maximum benefit to all, and to collect baseline information for the workshop evaluation.
