Scientell worked with the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) to produce a report on the benefits of undertaking data-enabled research in Australia. The report synthesises the common themes and multidisciplinary opportunities and needs highlighted in five individual domain reports developed by ACOLA’s five Learned Academies.
Client: ACOLA
Audience: Policy-makers, research agencies and programs, and data managers
The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) partnered with the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) and the five Learned Academies to help build a more coherent data policy and strengthen national data capabilities for researchers.
New forms of data and technology, such as social media and Artificial Intelligence, will significantly affect research and knowledge creation. These new forms will require novel ways of capturing, storing, annotating, and analysing data.
Scientell worked with ACOLA to synthesise the five academy reports to present the common themes, challenges, opportunities and data needs for multidisciplinary research in Australia.
